Why your car can't simply go on the app
In Abu Dhabi, limousine work runs through companies licensed by Abu Dhabi Mobility (ITC). Every limousine is registered in the licensed company's name, it has to be an approved model within the age rules, and whoever drives it needs a limousine driver permit. For expatriate residents, that means working through a licensed operator. There are two ways to do that.

Before you buy
Three checks every car has to pass
Most mistakes happen at the dealer. Send us the model first — checking takes one message; undoing the wrong purchase doesn't.
On the approved list
Abu Dhabi Mobility publishes which makes and models can work as limousines, and notes the list can change — so check before you buy. A car that isn't on it can't be registered.
Accepted by the apps
Approval as a limousine doesn't guarantee a place on every app, or in every category. Each platform keeps its own list.
Brand new
Virtus only takes vehicles that are brand new when they join the fleet, and no vehicle older than five years works in it. Abu Dhabi Mobility's own age rules apply on top of ours.
Which category your car lands in — Comfort, XL, Black and so on — depends on make, model and trim, and the platforms review their lists over time. We tell you where a model stands today; nobody can promise where it will stand next year.

A straight no
If a model doesn't qualify, we'll say so in the first conversation. A car we can't put on the road is no use to either of us.

Questions
What people ask before they message us
Whose name will the car be registered in?
Abu Dhabi Mobility requires every limousine to be registered in the name of the licensed operating company, so the vehicle is registered to Virtus. We walk you through what that means, line by line, before you sign.
Who decides whether the car can work?
We do. If a car is due for maintenance or inspection, or falls short of the standard, it stays off the road until it's done. That is how every car in the fleet stays within Abu Dhabi Mobility's rules.
Do I have to drive it myself?
No. You can drive it yourself or propose a driver. Either way, drivers in the Virtus fleet are employed by Virtus and hold a limousine driver permit — that includes you, if you drive. Abu Dhabi Mobility sets the requirements: age limits, language skills, a valid UAE driving licence, a good conduct certificate and approved training. You follow your driver's performance; we make sure the driver and the car meet the rules.
Can I rent my car out to a driver through Virtus?
No. Abu Dhabi Mobility doesn't allow licensed operators to rent or lease vehicles to drivers, and we don't. The car works in the fleet as a limousine, driven by you or by a qualified driver.
Can you guarantee my car a place in Uber Black or Lux?
No — and be careful with anyone who does. The platforms decide categories and review their lists. We tell you which categories a model qualifies for today.
What will my car earn?
We don't publish a figure. It depends on the model, the categories it qualifies for, the hours it works and who drives it — a number on a web page would be a guess dressed up as a promise. At the meeting, every line is written out.
I live in Dubai or another emirate. Can I join?
Yes, as long as you are a UAE resident. But a limousine licensed in Abu Dhabi works in Abu Dhabi — operators work within the emirate they are licensed for, and the platforms accept licensed vehicles where they are registered. Plan for the car to operate here.
Can I leave later?
Yes. Exit terms and notice are written into your agreement before you sign.
Is Virtus actually licensed?
Yes. VIRTUS LIMOUSINE - L.L.C - S.P.C is licensed by Abu Dhabi Mobility (ITC) and operates as a limousine company in Abu Dhabi. We show the licence at the first meeting — ask to see it before you put a vehicle into anyone's fleet, including ours.
